February 17 - 21

Dear Families,

This week we were immersed in our study of the United States. We continued our state research and began creating artifacts to decorate state floats.  On Wednesday with Mrs. Courcelle, children learned to program Bee Bots to travel across the United States.

In math the children we presented with a story situation that was missing the question.  In partnerships the children created questions that could be asked given the situation.  Students visited different problems written on posters and worked together to solve the problem.

Other things to ask your child about:
~Playing Capture the Clock in Number Corner
~Creating artifacts for state floats
~Chester's Way and making connections with characters
~Gathering more evidence from books to support opinions about characters

We hope you enjoy time with your family.  We look forward to seeing everyone back on March 4th!
